Organic Geochemistry Lab

GC/MS: Agilent 7890A GC with 5975C MSD with multimode and cool on-column injector, FID and autosampler. The GC/MS provies structural identification of compounds and quantification is provided on the FID.

ASE: Dionex ASE 350 accelerated solvent extractor. The ASE permits automated extraction of organic compounds from various substrates (rocks, leaves) and significantly reduces time and solvent usage compared to other methods.

Additional equipment: solvent evaporators (turbovap, n-evap), ovens, muffle furnace, fume hoods, flammable refridgerators and freezers, Labconco 4.5L freeze-drier, centrifgure, ball mills, lipid sample preparation equipment, analytical balances, rotary evaporators, glassware, and standards.
